Boulangerie Celadon is a small home bakery run by Celadon LLC in Hawaii. This page explains what we know about you when you use this website, why, and what you can do about it. We use your details to bake and hand over your order, nothing else.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password (kept scrambled, we cannot read it). Optionally a phone number and a delivery address.
- Your orders: the name, email and phone number you give at checkout (also if you order as a guest), what you ordered, the note you wrote for the baker, the pickup day and the amount paid.
- Your payment: you pay by card through Square. Your card number goes straight to Square and never reaches this website. We only see the type of card and its last four digits.
- Visit statistics: we count visits and a few actions (such as adding an item to your bag) with Umami, a privacy-friendly tool that runs on our own server. It uses no cookies, builds no profile of you and shares nothing with advertisers. It records the page, the type of device, browser and language, and roughly the country.
- Failed log-ins: if a password is entered wrongly several times, the account is locked for a few minutes. We keep that count, with the email address, for up to a day.
The website sets only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you logged in and holds your bag, and one that protects the forms from forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- to take your order, collect payment and prepare it for pickup;
- to email you the confirmation of your order, a refund if there is one, and messages about your account (confirming your email, resetting a password);
- to keep the accounting and tax records the law asks us to keep;
- to keep the website safe and working.
We do not send newsletters or advertising, and we do not sell your details.
Who else sees it
- Square processes your payment and keeps the record of it, including the email address you gave. If you choose to save a card, Square keeps it for you. Its own privacy notice applies.
- Our email service delivers the messages we send you.
- We may share details when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Orders and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Your account stays until you delete it. Visit statistics are anonymous.
Your choices
- You can change your name, email, phone and address at any time in your profile.
- You can remove a saved card in your profile.
- You can delete your account in your profile. We then erase your name, email, phone and address from the website and remove you from Square. Past orders stay, without your details, for our records. Square keeps the payment records of past orders, including the email address, because they are financial records.
- You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, or to correct or erase them, by writing to contact@boulangerieceladon.com.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from children.
Changes
If we change this page, the date at the top changes too.
